When they arrived, I put them on my new mattress and box spring, and was very impressed! The cotton terry, vinyl-free mattress encasement is soft and durable. By the way, the package states, "SafeRest (TM) Products are registered as a Class 1 Medical Device with the FDA," so I was able to obtain reimbursement from my employer-provided Flexible Spending Account for health-care expenses! I found out I was a victim of these awful creatures a couple of weeks ago and since then I've been in a war to kill them. After getting a good recommendation from a pest control friend, I decided to buy the Saferest mattress encasements and box spring.
Based on my experience, I can share the following:
1- QUALITY: The quality is actually impressive. I washed them before putting them on my bed and they didn't' shrink or change a bit. I actually felt that the cotton terry on the top got even softer after the wash. The mattress encasements have a soft cotton terry surface on the top and polyester on the sides. The box spring is polyester all around, which makes them a little less expensive since you are not going to sleep on top of them anyway.
